Bike Fitting

Comfort, Safety and Efficiency Begin with Fit

Bike fitting is imperative to a successful and enjoyable cycling experience. Bike manufacturers produce and build out bikes with components that fit the “average” build human. Let's be honest, who knows what average means? That’s why fitting is so important. It's intimidating though, right?

  • What length stem do I need?
  • Why do my hands go numb?
  • Why do my feet and toes go numb?
  • Why do my other parts go numb or why do I have pain here?
  • What size bike should I ride?
  • Why does my butt hurt so bad?

These are all very common questions that can be answered using the BikeFit process. We analyze and correct the foot-pedal interface, how your feet/shoes connect with the pedals, foot pressure, foot tilt, and leg length difference. We measure and adjust saddle height and fore/aft adjustments. We setup and adjust the front end, stem length and angle, bar width and rotation and hood rotation, all to increase comfort and longevity of riding.
Ben Madary
Ben is a Level 2 BikeFit Certified Fitter. He's attended and completed training in Indianapolis and Knoxville and is always learning and studying the field to grow in knowledge of fitting.

Ben's mission as a fitter is to tailor the fitting experience to best suit the needs of the client and provide care in such a way that riding is sustainable and enjoyable.

Ben's theory is that we shouldn't have to change ourselves to ride bikes...We should be altering and making changes to the bike to accommodate us as riders. I wager to say almost no one out there is symmetrical, however almost every bike on the market is symmetrical, during the BikeFit process we make accommodations to suit all of our different asymmetries.
Foot Tilt
Foot tilt is a part of bike fitting that is rarely addressed. We spend time analyzing foot tilt and addressing foot pressure. If your feet or toes go numb or you have excess pressure on your foot, we recommend giving us a call to learn how we can help.
Saddle Changer
Finding a saddle that is comfortable is difficult and sometimes a painful process, literally. We've invested in some great tools to help make the process a bit easier for you.

If the Shoe Fits

For maximum power transfer on the road or trail and for exceptional comfort on a spin bike, we recommend clipless cycling shoes and pedals. With stiffer soles and the ability to click into and out of your pedal system easily, cycling shoes make your ride and your workout more efficient, more effective, and more comfortable. Never get stuck in a toe cage again!
